Sword+Sandals Release Celebration Part II: Joseph Childress, WR/DS, Pillars & Tongues, The Up Died Sound

Come celebrate once more the release of Sword + Sandals debut studio LP, Good & Plenty tomorrow night! It will be a super night for Empty Cellar, with three label artists on the same stage. In a way, it is a double record release show between Sword + Sandals (represented by WR/DS (words)) and Pillars & Tongues (on tour from Chicago in support of Lay of Pilgrim Park). The night will also feature Joseph Childress and New Yorkers, the Up Died Sound. The evening will be capped with the debut screening of the latest Chasing the Moon Video Podcast featuring Birds and Batteries; so in a way, it is a triple release show.

Mark Trecka & Beth Remis of Pillars and Tongues on Tour with Elephant Micah!

On the heels of a European tour with Pillars and Tongues, Mark Trecka took to the road as the drummer for Dark Dark Dark‘s SxSW tour, and on the heels of that tour… Mark and Beth Remis of Pillars and Tongues are departing on an East Coast tour with one of our favorites, Elephant Micah! Indian Summer, of Endless Nest, hosted Elephant Micah in San Francisco last month at a truly bomb show, and this tour promises to be just as bomb… if not bomberer?

Mark and Beth will be performing Mark’s solo material and a few stripped down versions of Pillar’s tunes. It will rule even though they are totally neglecting us on the west coast.

Indian Summer Presents: Joseph Childress, Lazarus, Elephant Micah, Soft Shells, & Peace Lovin’!!!!!

Check out this amazing image of Joseph Performing to an art-bus full of people. If you look through the bus windshield, you might notice that the bus is traveling. This was taken at one of many incredibly incredibly rad events curated by our dear friend David Wilson at Ribbons Publications.

Joseph is playing once again this Thursday (3/4)… tomorrow (sorry for the short notice). He will be part of a righteous line-up put together by Indian Summer with the help of the The Seaweed Sway and Invisible Ocean. It is taking place at a great new space in the Mission. It will have a nice mellow party vibe… couches, a treehouse, beer & wine, an organ… and it is FREE (suggested donation).

The Sandwitches Live In Bolinas Tonight!

The Sandwitches will be performing TWO epic sets at the oldest bar on the west coast tonight, brought to you by Indian Summer Music. If you live in the Bay Area and have a hankerin’ for a healthy and intimate dose of the Sandwitches, then cruise through the fog and over Mt. Tam to Smiley’s Schooner Saloon.
